About Me

Ms Kome Otobo (LL.B., LL.M.) is a storyteller, artist and project management professional who splits her time between Lagos, Nigeria and London, United Kingdom.
Originally from Delta State, she writes non-fiction, fiction and poetry, which often explore the liminal spaces of life and love.
She is a Publishing Consultant for Malthouse Press, a bespoke publishing house in West Africa.
She is also a Senior Project Manager at Incubator Africa, a development agency dedicated to advancing education, health, and governance in Nigeria and the African continent.
She is a Gender Equality Ambassador and Mentor for the EQUALZ Mentorship Hub, an organisation committed to empowering women through mentorship, education, and awareness programmes.

About Me

Additionally, she is a Voice and Mentor within the Voices of Africa Network, a digital platform created to ‘amplify young African female voices and enable them to express their diverse perspectives.’

She became an Advisory Board Member in 2025, contributing her considerable expertise to the platform’s leadership team.

Also in 2025, she was invited to become an Independent Non-Executive Director for Nimbus Media Limited, Nigeria’s leading innovative and technology-driven-out-of-home advertising company with robust nationwide networks.

An avid reader with a profound interest in creative and design thinking, Ms Otobo holds a Bachelor of Laws from King’s College London and a Master’s degree in Law from Queen Mary University of London.

She has written two best-selling books, Nigerian Gods, published in 2022, and The Healthy Perfectionist, published in 2024.

Her debut art exhibition, hosted by Didi Museum Foundation, took place in March 2026 and it was well received.

She is currently working on producing artworks for her second exhibition using themes of the discovery of self through recurring cycles, the loss and restoration of culture, humanity’s environmental impact on Nature and the balance between perfection and imperfection.

Her art is experimental with a bias for geometric patterns and creating minimalist pieces with a sense of order.
